Dr. Cassinelli is a board certified pediatric dentist with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She received her undergraduate degree in 1996 at the University of Richmond. Her dental degree was earned at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 2000. Dr. Cassinelli was a Schweitzer Fellowship recipient for her study of autism and the dental patient as a dental student. Her advanced training in pediatric dentistry was at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. She was chief resident for the 2001-2002 academic years. While in residency, Dr. Cassinelli did research in pediatric dental sedation. She received extensive experience with sedation technique, general anesthesia and trauma. While Dr. Cassinelli practiced in Cleveland Ohio, she was a member of the cleft palate/craniofacial team at the Cleveland Clinic.
Dr. Cassinelli provides treatment in the operating room under general anesthesia at The Pediatric Surgery Center at Atlanta Outpatient and at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite. She also volunteers her dental services to the children of the City of Refuge in Atlanta. In addition to being a diplomat to the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, she holds professional memberships to the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Georgia Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association.
