Dr. Cassinelli is a board certified pediatric dentist with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She received her undergraduate degree in 1996 at the University of Richmond. Her dental degree was earned at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 2000. Dr. Cassinelli was a Schweitzer Fellowship recipient for her study of autism and the dental patient as a dental student. Her advanced training in pediatric dentistry was at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. She was chief resident for the 2001-2002 academic years. While in residency, Dr. Cassinelli did research in pediatric dental sedation. She received extensive experience with sedation technique, general anesthesia and trauma. While Dr. Cassinelli practiced in Cleveland Ohio, she was a member of the cleft palate/craniofacial team at the Cleveland Clinic.
Dr. Cassinelli provides treatment in the operating room under general anesthesia at The Pediatric Surgery Center at Atlanta Outpatient and at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite. She also volunteers her dental services to the children of the City of Refuge in Atlanta. In addition to being a diplomat to the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, she holds professional memberships to the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Georgia Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Kristin Piche is a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist. She grew up in Johns Creek, Georgia and attended Chattahoochee High School. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from The University of Georgia and received her degree in Nutrition Science. After receiving her undergraduate degree, she moved to Augusta to pursue her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at The Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University. While in dental school, she was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. Dr. Kristin then stayed in Augusta to complete her two-year pediatric dental residency at The Dental College of Georgia. In her free time, Dr. Kristin enjoys spending time with family and friends, walking her maltipoo, Bear, and cheering on the Dawgs! Dr. Kristin loves introducing kids to the dentist in a fun and exciting way. She finds it important to cater each appointment to each child’s individual needs and understands that no two children are the same. She is so excited to become part of the Peak Pediatric Dentistry family and can’t wait to meet everyone!
Dr. Karlin is a board certified pediatric dentist. She received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland, College Park and completed her D.D.S. at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. Dr. Karlin pursued her specialty training at New York University and Bellevue Hospital Center, earning a certificate in Pediatric Dentistry. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the Georgia Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Karlin presents an array of nutrition and oral health topics to dental and dental hygiene organizations nationwide and has co-authored numerous online continuing education courses for oral healthcare providers. In her free time, she enjoys traveling the globe for new experiences, hiking with her husband and their Goldendoodle, and indulging her guilty pleasure of reality television. However, her free time has been limited now that she and her husband have welcomed their first child, a sweet baby boy!
